Hello everybody,
I alredy askt this question in the grmain forum, but I din't get an answer so I thougt maby someone outside the germain forum might be able to help me...
What I wanted to know is, if it is possible to make a custom Linestile where the with isnt always the same.
Like for example, thet the red Lines end where the Green form ends and the short red lien in have.
It dosnt have to be with the custom Linestile if there is another way to do this, that would help to.
sorry for my English its not perfect, but I hope you understand what I mean.
Thanks Michelle Doppmann
An alternative is to create custom line style with long perpendicular lines, then place it, drop the linestyle and clip it to the line. However the long and short lines will not have proportional lengths.

try search for batter ticks from many of the DOTs ..This is vic roads free one.. unfortunately its a mdl for v8i.
It asks for the top and toe when not 3d and automatic if 3d pretty good but cannot do the ugly tadpole squiggles.. I prefer the sticks in the slop direction or ticks...Inroads, ORD and other modelling programs can generate these too but you have to know the process, I'm told its easy once you have been shown how...
I'm sure a good search of the web of Dept Of Transport and batter ticks should turn up some vbas' that could work in V8i and CE too...

download and unzip, save both files in your mdl apps folder then key in mdl load batik
Mst should then open a dialog and your good to go from there read the prompts .. you can also save it in a folder of your choice like c:\myapps, then the keyin
mdl load <enter>
and browse to c:\myapps and load the ma file from there .. but easier if in mdl folder for mstn and you can also make a f key script or pulldown menu to run key in
mdl load batik.ma
as Lorys stated it is for Microstation V8i, only
Achtung ist nur für Microstation bis V8i!

I know, We have installed the V8i parallel to the Connect Edition.
But of corse it would be easyer if I could use it on cinnect Edition, since we usually work on that version.
So is it somehow possible to adapt an mdl file so that it works on connect edition?
Or is there something on the lern server about progrming your own mdl?
Michelle,
only the original developer may create the application for MS CE. And as a beginner it's a huge task to learn MS C++API an moving from former MDL to MS CE new Technology. See the Microstation programming formum. A good first step of learning Microstation development begin with Microstation VBA.
Thanks, I'll look at that
There is on similar example in VBA - communities.bentley.com/.../44352
