Hallo,
is there the possibility, that the element template association is always on, if someone opens Microstation. Is there the possibility to se a standard.
We are working with MicroStation Connect Edition Update 11.
Kind regards
Gerd
The ways to do this are as described by Oto. Would you like a variable to control this?
samir
Hi Samir,
yes that would be nice. If you see in the Video below. If we activate "lock templateassociation on" certain actions deactivate the template association. If you go on Cell than immediately template association turns off. There is no warning, nothing. The next actions will be without template association. This is a source of error. Cell is only one action that turns templateassociation off. Maybe there are some others.
Hi Gerd,
I am guessing that your docking tool is customized one, right? If so, can you please check its property settings in Customize dialog box? Here enclosed an image for reference. The "Associate Template" field should not be "Never" for your case.

Hyung
no this is not a customized one. It´s the standard tool box. We have looked at the other commands in the standard boxes all commands have never on in the standard tool boxes an they doesn´t change the element template association. The only one which changes the element template association from on to off ist the cell-button. Why. Can you check this behaviour on your computer?
Would be nice if there would be a variable to control that. Par example element template association always on or off.
Thanks
Hello,
Can you please tell me the name of tool box? I may be looking at wrong one. According to my research, it must be the customized tool box because I could not find it. The similar tool box seems to be Primary Tools. So, I added your extra tools there. Although we don't have a variable to control for the setting, it can be set to Always through Customize dialog box. Here enclosed an image for reference.
Thanks,
Hello Kim,
yes, you are right. This is a customized one. I didn´t realized that. So the solution you provide works now well. We changed that now in DGNLIB.
Thanks for your help.
