When creating Named Boundaries using Rectangular Array option how can you control where the first boundary is placed and the direction of the array?
In one dgn file the first boundary was placed in the upper right of the area and proceeded to go right to left, and then down.
In another dgn file the first boundary was placed in the lower left of the area and proceeded to go left to right, and then up.
How is that positioning set? Ideally I would like it to start in the top left as shown in the icon.
Just out of interest: what are Named Boundaries used for?

Automating Dynamic Views is where I find the best use. In the Detailing tools you can place Drawing Boundaries inside different sheet models. Using the Named Boundary tool you select the appropriate Drawing Boundary and Detail Scale and not only will it cut your sheets at the correct size, it can also automatically create sheet models for each one and reference the Named Views to the Drawing Boundary defined.

I wrote an MDL app that performed that function many years ago. Unfortunately, customer wanted to use raster maps, and in those days MicroStation could not rotate a raster.
