Hi all. I am basic user in Microstation :) I wanna ask is it possible to place automaticly same text above many lines? for example i have many line strings placed and i need same text above each at the start and end off line. Maybe some ideas how to do it better?
At first glance i would guess maybe a cell, if the text is fairly static and never changes or has only a few variations. If your running CE you could use text favorites.
its need to be like a text
I thought i can export start-end coordinates of smart lines and after that use script file to add text...
you can use the export coordinates tool and it will give you the beginning and end cords and any verticies too.. but you an then edit the cords file with excel to add all the text and to inset the text you want to the same msnt tool pallet just the import cords from txt or csv as it has the xyT option where T column is the text.. just make sure your text level , size and font is all set first, then you can just select all the text and off set it all by the same amount.. easier than calculating the change in excel.. BTW this is one of my favourite tools as it almost gives you GIS like power in msnt... just don't make it too fancy text no symbols and no spaces as it may not work? but under bar or dash is ok.
If you get too many clashes as text too long and overwrites your lines you may have to edit the coordiantes in excel with equations to allow the text not to overwrite your linework... but only if you have a real lot of lines... only a few you can just create selections and move a lot of text in one go..
