Hello all!
Comrades, do you know how can we change the selection area color? For example in AutoCAD if we click on drawing and go to the left green area appears (and if we go to the right after clicking the blue one appears).
I'm not sure if you can change/add color to the selection window. In Microstation when using the selection tool data point + drag left you will see a dashed window. Data point + drag right will show a solid window.
Microstation CONNECT - 10.17.2.61
ORD - 2021 R1 10.10.1.3
ORD 2022 R1.1 - 10.11.3.2
ORD 2022 R3 - 10.12.2.4
Microstation v8i SS 10 - 08.11.09.919
Power InRoads v8i - 08.11.09.615
ProjectWise - 10.0.3.453
if you just want to make a specific colour for any selection ie crossing or inside you can go to
preferences (personal) > view options now by default selection set is set to magenta and so is element hilite.
if you double click on the selection set colour an override box pops and you can change the colour via the rgb so green would be 0,255,0 (R,G,B)
Then ok and your selection sets will always be green from now on.. to change hilite on the fly ( note hilite function is not the same as selection function) you can us a keyin to set almost any colour you want, see below
set hilite colourname
where colourname is say red, or blue etc you can even pull down in keyin dialog to see more colours just like we always have in previous versions
\
and the result now when doing any selection my case is green
and if I was to use the power selector to select by a level , or element type or other options then that selection would be green..
This is handy when you have a lot of magenta objects and don't want to use the same colour ie magenta as your selection colour.

Hi,
Arm an said:do you know how can we change the selection area color?
as mwlong wrote, it's not possible.
What is in AutoCAD displayed using colors (green / blue for everything inside / crossing elements), in MicroStation is displayed by the selection window border: Continuous line represents select everything inside" mode, whereas "select crossed elements" is represented by dashed line.
A few more details, not commonly known:

Hi Jan,
In Autocad works the same and at the same time with colour display. I believe this was what the user was after.
