[CE U13] Any way to enable Reference "Always Cache" setting via Keyin or Config Variable?

Hi all, 
 
 We have identified some massive performance gains on ProjectWise with the Reference Preference option "Always Cache" enabled, however, we have a very large team and i am looking for a way to push this setting to everyone in an automated fashion. This is mainly for DV technology that OpenRoads Designer uses but this is a core Microstation function. 
 
 We normally achieve updates like this by either updating our workspace cfg if it was a variable or our Autorun macro if it was a keyin - any idea's how I could accomplish updating the "Always Cache" Preference option?

 After some discussions with my colleagues the first suggestion was the keyin " reference visibleedges cached" that was mentioned by Ian Lapper but we have no specific keyin or configuration variable to toggle this preference on|off. The main suggestion as a workaround, if you don't want to use a UPF seed, would be to record a macro to perform this action. Attached is one that was produced along with a Wiki article for how this can be run when opening files.

 A new Enhancement # 1078757 has been raised to include a keyin or configuration variable to toggle this option in the User Preferences.

As the "Always Cache" setting for the references is a Preference it would be stored in the User Preference File (UPF). What you could do for your users is to use a UPF Seed file so each of them replicates these settings.
