Hi. I need to export the X-Y coordenates of the center point of an object.
I use MICROSTATION V8 2004.
But I need to include in de .txt the ID ELEMENT, to know wich coordenate is each ID.
how can I do the process?
Thanks regards. Jess.

That's a very old version of MicroStation. Can you upgrade to something more recent?

MicroStation has an XYZ Text tool that you can use to import/export coordinate data.
However, that tool does not harvest element IDs. For that, you would need a VBA macro. We wrote a VBA tool to export text coordinates: you could modify that to include the element ID in the CSV file.
Another approach would be to use FlexiTable, which harvests all kinds of DGN element data, including the Element ID...
Unfortunately, FlexiTable is no longer maintained for MicroStation V8 2004 Edition.

you may be able to import the file if you have access to a GIS program QGIS ( is free) will only accept V7 or DXF but you may have more luck with MapInfo or Esri products.. and create a table of coords and id...
If you update to CE you could create a report to get what you want...
If you update or V8i you can use project explorer and create a properties report but I would have to read through a lot of documentation to figure out how to search for it
But 2004 is really 16 years old and I do not remember how to use it or it there were any tricks
