In CU13 I am having some issues with reference file levels staying off in a view.
I have a reverence file attached. Typically the model has everything in it but some items need to be off in the sheet or drawing file to be printed.
What is happening is that I can turn the level off. Print it and it looks fine. When I come back to the drawing the next day the level is back on.
Any ideas?
It reads as though you do not use sheet models for your plan sheets, is that correct? How are you turning the levels off. View Display, Global Display or Global Freeze? If you are using View Display you will need to Save Settings before you exit the file.

I do use sheet models. Bentley actually recommends using the Drawing model I think and I would but my client doesn't.
I am just turning the level off in the Level Display window. This worked fine in V8i.
I have Save Settings as the default in Preferences. And I have also manually saved settings in the files before exiting.
I guess I am wondering if this is an issue for CU13 or just me.
Thanks.

Ok, sorry I am not going to be much help when it comes to CONNECT. I am stuck in v8i world for the foreseeable future. I have not had a chance to use CONNECT long enough to see these issues.
There may be a couple of settings to check. I'm not using CONNECT in any meaningful sense, but I believe these are still included in the program.
One of them is a DGN file setting SET REFLEVELOVERRIDES. I believe you can search for that in the help. It is analogous to the DWG VISRETAIN setting. If it's set to the wrong value, any display changes made to reference files are discarded when the file is closed. That one drove me nuts on one project.
Another is to see if your configuration is set to auto-sync any level properties back to the DGNLIB. Again, I believe you can find the variables in question through a search, but, as I recall, the variable names are pretty obvious once you know what you are looking for. I have seen this crop up a couple of times while helping others figure out this sort of problem.
One more that could be at play is the reference setting "Display Overrides". If that is set to "Never" insstead of "Always" it doesn't let you change the reference level display settings in some cases.
I don't know much about CONNECT, but those have been In MicroStation for a decade or so, and I suspect they are still around.

Guessing that's the one giving issue. And it does not work in all cases, much like the NewLevelDisplay thing.
