Hi brain trust,
What's the correct syntax for PROTECT LICENSE ADD EVERYONE keyin there's a notification says the syntax is PROTECT LICENSE ADD EVERYONE <expiry> <rights> <purpose> but I can't seem to get that working. I would like to turn on View, Print and Export for a few files with no expiry.
Best regards,
Tuan Le
The correct syntax is PROTECT LICENSE ADD EVERYONE <expiry> <rights> <purpose>
The expiry date format is year/month/day. You can supply a * in place of a date. That means that there will be no expiration date.
The rights specifier can be * for the right to do anything or a combination of v, p, x, and e, where v means view, p means print, x means export, and e means edit.
The purpose argument is just a description.
An example is:PROTECT LICENSE ADD EVERYONE 2020/03/25 vp

Can you persuade the documentation people to add that to MicroStation Help?

I have mentioned that this is not well documented.
