When I references on of my drawings into a drawing of my colleagues, I am missing some lines and text. Some entire levels do not appear at all. Levels that say they are in use do not show what they are suppose to. When I reference the same drawing into one of my other drawings it references correctly. My drawings are not setup with correct coordinates unlike my colleagues drawing that do have the correct coordinates, so I think it make have something to do with coordinates.
I'm using microstation connect edition.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Timothy,
this is general Developers and Programming forum, whereas your question seems to be product (MicroStation?) related.

Just to check - is there only one model being used in this drawing? That can make levels appear to be used even if you don't see elements. They ARE used, just not in the active model.
I don't know how coordinates would affect text display...but there's a lot I don't understand. It's also possible that if these files are 3D, that your collegues drawing has a a clip volume, and your file shows up partly in and partly out.
When you say "Connect edition", what exact release number are you using? There have been about 13 releases by now, and each one has different bugs and fixes.

Both drawings are in 2D
It's connect v8 I guess? That's what it says at the top of the program.
My drawing is a utility plan showing roads, w&s lines, and the storm drain system. Most of the utility lines are not showing up when referenced into the my co-workers drawing. Everything shows up fine when referenced into one of my other drawings though.

V8i and CONNECT Edition are very different versions (or better to say generations), so to specify exact version can be crucial. The simplest way is to open "About MicroStation" dialog (key-in is "dialog aboutustn") and to check a build version. It's something like 08.11.xx.yy or 10.13.xx.yy (AA.BB.CC.DD).

Without knowing the design file structure, it's hard to guess.
Are MicroStation versions the same?
Are seed files of your file (that is referenced) and your colleagues' files (used as active) the same?
How working units (both in active and reference models) are set?
How exactly the references are attached (directly, using geographical transformation, using Save view...). There are many options (unfortunately).
Isn't your model corrupted? E.g. when you use "Fit all" in view, is everything fitted in the view correctly?

Yes.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the answer is no.

They are the same.

Global origin aligned with master file.

Not that I can tell.
Again it attaches fine with other drawings that I've created, but my drawings are not setup correctly with the right coordinate system. I've only been using Microstation now for 5 months so please excuse any ignorance.
