I am not sure I am using the right terminology, so bear with me.
I often use the I Rotate view element. But normally when I do that my accudraw compass rotates with my new view orientation. For in the one drawing it stays oriented to the auxiliary view. So every time I draw something, I need to rotate my compass with the ACCUDRAW ROTATE VIEW command. I went under settings menu “accudraw” and in the coordinates tab, it’s set to rotation as “Auxiliary” instead of View. If I select view instead, it does not remember that setting. It goes back to auxiliary. I did a search on the bentley site and they mention a corrupted user pref file etc ... but I don't think it applies to me, since all my other drawings remember that setting except this one.
Is there a way to fix that?
thanks
There are a number of options to consider if your AccuDraw Settings are not sticking. The first would be if you have a corrupt User Preference File (UPF) or if the folder / file is ReadOnly. You might like to look at the following Wiki article to reset the UPF and clean out the temp files.
https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/8978/how-to-reset-user-preferences-and-delete-microstation-s-temporary-files
Find the location of your UPF files and ensure you have full permissions to Read+Write to this location.

The following discussion may also be of assistance. It mentions that one user found that they had AccuDraw turned off which also would affect this operation but to also check that ACS lock is not turned on.

Thanks a lot, it worked. I knew it was not the upf, since it worked in other drawings. The I did not notice the ACS Lock was on. Thanks again.

Good to hear that it was the ACS Lock. It would be appreciated if you could click on the "This Help Me" link above for those users that may search for a resolution in the future.
