Hi,
We use Microstation CE update 13, when angle readout is set to gradians and the user makes a rotate copy by entering the angle himself (value of the angle by gradians) CE considers this value entered as degrees (so does not take the settings design file).
Is this a bug or a bad manipulation on my part?
In V8i this problem was not present???
Kinds regards,
Thomas.
Same here in Powerdraft CE 10. Switched to "Gon", display is 100g for a rectangular angle. But as soon as I copy/rotate an element and type in 100 it's rotated by 100° not 100g. (we never use "Gon" though)
Hi Thomas,
it's very good observation and it's the bug for sure!
Did you create Service Ticket for the issue?
With regards,
Jan

There are dozens of things like this that malfunction in Connect. But we are only on release 13!

Well, in such case, you really should to create one! :-)
The system is such that until defect number (Bentley internal problem identification) is created based on service ticket (formal identification of user's request) or explicitly mentioned as created in a discussion, the problem formally does not exist. And when it does not exit formally (even when discussed by users), resources will be not allocated to fix it.
