I'm using the work computer from home. View connect update 13 is installed on the PC(desktop). When I open up any dgn file, the program opens up and nothing happens, just the little blue circle which keeps going and going and going. If I click anywhere, the Windows message pops up that the program is not responding.
Any ideas to rectify this situation. I am connected to the Connection client also.
Are you opening the files directly or from Windows Explorer? As a test could you try opening a local file on your computer with Bentley View to see if the same behavior occurs?

Did the Program freeze on start screen or after loading the file / view windows ?
can you try by disabling the hardware acceleration by setting the variable "QV_DISABLE_HARDWARE" = 1 in the Windows Environment Dialog
( Control Panel > system Properties > Environment )
Are you logged into the Connection Client ?
And what version of the Connection Client do you have installed ?
The latest and greatest versions of Connection client, the works. I have tried it logged on and logged off. I have really tried just about everything but switch the hardware acceleration off. As it is I have a time problem, and downloaded another little viewer that seems to work fine. I would really like to know if anybody else have update 13 on their computers and it is working properly? The program opens up nicely, showing all the toolbars, the works, just showing the black(background?) in the window. The moment I click anywhere, the blue circle of boredom appears, and that's it. I've even left it going for an hour or so, opening a 176KB 2D drawing, no cigar? If I click again, I get the Windows message that the program is not responding.
