I have a dimension style set up in my workspace to place text with a text frame. There are some instances where the initial placement of the text is good, but if the note is moved the text frame will become a giant diamond instead of a rectangle. It only happens in some DGN files. Any reason why this would be happening?
Edit: I am running OpenRoads Designer 2020 Release 1 Update 8.
All of the DGN files were created from the same seed file in my workspace. The text style that I am using is MDOT_Mask and the dimension style is MDOT_Frame_Box. I am attaching two example DGN's which should have these text styles / dimension styles burned into the files.
Good DGN.dgn
Bad DGN.dgn
Forgot to post version - I am running OpenRoads Designer 2020 release 1 update 8.
Hi Luke,

You should post screenshots of the dimension style and text style used in the right DGN file and in the wrong DGN so we can compare. Better even would be to post a small example from both files.
The wrong ones are converted from DWG files? If so, you'll have to create a new note as described here.
Frames of text inside notes are controled by text configuration of dimensions as described here.
Find in wiki more help for your issue.

I have just experienced the same issue. I am running in the FDOT workspace and all files were created using their seed files.
If you look at the attached image you will see the labels that begin with the "TH" being the ones that are in this file. I didn't move the labels. Once the label is placed, it looks good. I change my view to place more labels and some remain as placed and others change to the diamond shape. This doesn't seem to be a setting, it is more likely a bug. I am just hoping for a work around.
Does FDOT have any contact information for their CAD team? It may be worth sending them an email - they might have seen this, and know how to work around it.
