Working in 3d V8i if I want to use Measure Distance Between two elements, the minimum between works fantastic using the setting Gobal Z . In MicroStation Connect I cannot find the same drop down menu and cannot get Minimum Between to work.. Can anyone help as I am new to Microstation Connect and use this a lot in 3d modeling..

Hi Mike,
You should follow forum best practices and infor us which version of Connect Edition you're using
In CE going to Backstage \ Help \ About Microstation and find the version in the form of [ 10.xx.xx.xx ] or faster writing ab in Search Ribbon on top right side.
Another way is to type in the key-in: version and the Message Center on the bottom will present the version being used.
Accordingly to David post there is some bug regarding the correct value based on the order of selected elements.

You get the menu from the Ribbon \ ... \ Analyze \ Measure Distance and then selecting the Minimum Between or by going to the search query on top right and type "mea"

I think it does not answer Mike's question.
When I understand it right, Mike issue is that in V8i when Minimum between mode is used, About value can be set to Global Z. It's not possible in CONNECT Edition and it's explicitly written in documentation: Global Z — (Available only when Between Points or Along Element is selected in the Method setting).
