MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 14 (10.14.00.109) - thumbnails still showing for .dwg files

It’s a WAD. Turn On/OFF Thumbnails only addresses DGN files.

Thumbnails for DWG files between older (2010 or earlier) and newer versions are handled differently. Also other factors like, how the DWG file was saved, with or without thumbnails etc.

Would it not be possible to just switch off the whole "picture area" of the thumbnails. 
If I do not want to see thumbnails I really do not care if there is this kind of "paper thumbnail" as a placeholder or not. So just remove the boxes in which the thumbnails are shown and show me only the 3 lines of text (Title - Filepath - Modified and Size)
