thanks for them! Especially the video is helpful, because it demonstrated the bug is a bit different different than you reported (or can be formulated better in my opinion ;-).

What I see (based on workflow you demonstrated in video) is that the text does not loose the text style, but Set Elevation Tool assign active text style to processed text.
Anyway, it's bug (and frankly, it shows there was not any serious user testing done before the code was committed to MicroStation code).

Hi Jan,
my first sample file (CE.dgn) had one local text style (MyTextStyle) and active text style set to None. Modified elements have still MyTextStyle assigned, but some properties (font, justification) are overwritten. Regards,Joerg

It was not described in your original post (to set different text style, even None, when the tool is used).
I think when somebody tested the tool, he likely did not care what active text style is set, so the problem did not appear when the style was the same (or there was None text style with visually the same parameters).
I agree with you. However, at the time of my first posting I hadn't recognized this boundary condition.

I agree with Jan, issue occurs when active textstyle is different than text. I realized that when testing with the Before.dgn as opposed to the After.dgn
I have filed defect 1096943 against this issue to have the issue reviewed by development.

Hi Reginald,
Do you know if there's been any resolution to this? I've found that Set Element Elevation also changes the Is Annotation Value, justification, and Height and Width to whatever value is shown in the Text Style dialog, regardless of the active style.
