Hi
For many years I have tried to see or manage deliverys from Acad civil 3D in microstation with no result, many years I tried I never ever got Microstation to read civi3D Dwg information.,
I have followed a lot of descriptions about this thopic on communities but never been able to get this to work, until yesterday.
Here is an description. how to see/read civil 3D objekts for microstation U13, U14 and Bentley connect viewer U12.
Download and install this file from link below,, and this is working.

Just to note that when you are trying to view Civil 3D objects in MicroStation CONNECT Edition, whichever version, you need to ensure you are installing the correct Object Enabler as well as making sure it is the x64 bit version.

Hi Andrew
I started my test with Autocad LT 2020, Autocad LT couldn´t read the civil3D without the object enabler.
I installed the newest objekt enabler 2021 from autodesk on my computer and after that installation of object enabler 2021, could Autocad LT 2020 read the civil3D example file.

I loaded Microstation Connect U14 after that succesful Autocad test but Microstation Connect U14 could`t read the example file as Autoacad LT did.
So the installation of objekt enabler version 2019 did work with Microstation Connect U14 but not the object enabler 2021, why is this so different between Autodesk and Bentley regarding versions of object enablers?
Most likely because they are two separate companies producing different software packages. Bentley is not AutoDesk, and will always be playing catch-up because they can't have access to AutoCAD technology until after AutoCAD releases it.

Hi Mary
Yes I understand that they are two separate companies, but inside Autodesk Autcad LT and Civil3d are also different software packages but they still work togheter. Bentley has always said that their software are combatible with Autocad so should`t this object enabler version thing also be combatible.
But anyway, life is life
I got it to work, but an question is still in my mind.
If I understod right is the the latest object enablers downloaded from Autodesk always included even the older version in the latest installation package so you don´t need to find older version, only download the newest and that includes all older object enabler versions also. Or have I misunderstand that information.
Do I still need to install different versions of object enablers to get Microstation to be able to read the civil3D file.(regarding of version of the civil3D file)
Hi Tom,
As far as I know the Civil 3D DWG data format was last changed in 2018 so I would think that would be the only OE you would need, even if you're using 2021?
So as long as you can see the data of the latest version, does it matter if you have to install the 2018 OE vs 2021?
Regards,
Mark
