Is it possible to dock the ribbon on the left side (just as the OSX dock that can be placed on all four sides of the screen)? I'm using Powerdraft CE 10 at the moment.
Considering today's screen resolutions (rather 16:9 than 16:10 which I prefer) I just wondered if it was a solution to some to dock the ribbon to the sides so it doesn't take up too much screen size? I'll happily add an idea if no-one else came up with it so far.

Unfortunately this feature has not been included in original Microsoft ribbon specification (I think many people will agree it's one from the main ribbon design fails), so all companies developing GUI libraries compliant with Windows specs don't offer side docking. And because MicroStation is based on Telerik WPF (that allows to have ribbon on top of the window only) , I do not think it can solved simply.
I am not sure how many applications allow to dock ribbon to windows side, Autodesk applications are quite exception I guess. And they had to develop own ribbon control completely from scratch to allow this.
But this request makes sense (in my opinion, anything in GUI should be configurable) and similar questions and requests can be found in Microsoft forums too ;-)
