converting an old dgn

Question

Hi I have a REALLY old .dgn file from about 2001 and want to open it but I can't - I use a different CAD now and I never saved it as a dgw 
 Does anyone have the facility to receive the file and convert it for me? 
 
 It is really small (but precious!)

 I'm sure lots of people on here could convert this precious file for you, however you haven't said what file format you need it in. 
 If you are now using for instance AutoCad software for instance then it is quite likely that they can import a DGN file without needing it converted

As Ian and Jan have suggested it would really depend on which format you wanted to use with Vectorworks software and what you are attempting to perform in this software. Vectorworks, like many software packages, accepts a number of different file formats. The most likely format would probably be DWG so a DGN file can easily be converted. Hopefully Jan would be kind enough to assist if you supply this DGN file to him.
