Hi,
I am very new to Microstation coming from Autodesk world (Autocad, Fusion 360, Revit, etc.).
I am trying to get my hand on Microstation.
My question is that I have a model where there are several elements. I can see the elements in something called items as shown in the following picture.
I want to create detailed drawings of each element in a separate sheet. The detail should include top view, elevation, side view, and 3D of that element. I will need to show dimensions on the detail drawing also.
can this be done automatically where the drawing of each element is generated automatically or should I do that manually for each element? in both cases how can I do that.
Also, how can I convert the 3D solid/surface model into a 3D wireframe so that when exporting it exports not as a solid/surface drawing but as a 3D wireframe?
Thank you

In Item no elements are displayed, but "business data" attached to (some) elements. It means there can be hundreds of elements in active model (and/or references), but Items list can be empty or contain only a few items.
Because Items were preliminary tool in MicroStation V8i and there was no tool to create new ones and to attach them to elements, I assume your file was created in MicroStation CONNECT Edition or by some application?

You have to do it manually, because Items are not generally supported by V8i tools.
If it's expected it will be done repeatedly, to create an automation tool makes sense (but programming skills are required).

Exact workflow depends on the model structure and honestly, it would require too much time to describe it in detail, but I guess the steps should be:
