MicroStation CONNECT 10.14.00.109
Hi All,
In the rotated view shown below, i have used a cell to pattern my rectangle with an angle of 0 as you can see from the tool settings BUT my pattern is not aligned to the rectangle
is there a way to resolve this without necessary having to calculate the angle displacement from the original view orientation?
Thank you
Hi Henry,
You have not mentioned which version of MicroStation you are using. See https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/microstation-forum/87312/read-first-microstation-forum-best-practices
To align the pattern try pressing CTRL+Shift key on your keyboard and then select area to flood.
The following Wiki is discussing this in detail:

Karan Sharma did you really read the above question or only the words align and pattern? Your answer has nothing to do with the request.
Henry Eduvie to me it seems to have something to do with the angle the cell had been created with and/or model orientation. Never ran into such an issue myself, though.
Hi Karma, thanks for your reply and the i have now updated this post with my MicroStation version as appropriate. Meanwhile, f.mandoki is right as the CTRL+Shift key method doesn't seem to solve the problem. meanwhile, i have checked the cell dgn file and i can confirm the pattern has been created at angle 0.
Meanwhile, my design file settings ANGLE LOCK is currently set to 0.......is this particular setting relevant?
Is your view rotated, or do you have an ACS active?

With your view rotated, you have to adjust the pattern angle to match the rotation of the view for the pattern to align.
To determine the angle use the Measure Angle tool selecting the outside rectangle and an intersecting pattern line.
