I am a new MicroStation user (Version 10.13.01.01)
I am copying a template file (made by someone else) and pasting it into a folder, so I can make some changes to my liking. Now I find out that If I copy the contents of my copied file and paste it back into the original, the drawing (copied version) is smaller than the original. I have never seen this behavior in any other program. I would think a copied file would be the same as the original (It is a "copy"). Can anyone tell me why they are different? I have used the template on 40 something drawings and now find out they are all wrong.
Thanks,
Koog
When you use copy/paste to copy elements to the clipboard, they will be pasted using the currently active scale and rotation.
Before you data point to place the copy, the Paste from Clipboard tool settings dialog will show the currently active Angle and Scale.
At this point you should enter appropriate values in the dialog.
Ron,
I am not seeing the dialog. I like the answer though.
It is the normal Tool Settings dialog. It should always be visible unless you have it docked as a tab. This dialog is where you adjust the settings for nearly all of the tools in MicroStation.
I suggest that since you are a new MicroStation user, it would be worth taking the time to go through the 2D Master Class and 3D Master Class posted at the top of the MicroStation Forum. It will expose you to the standard MicroStation conventions and probably answer many of the questions you have.
