Hello,
I have a drawing with multiple saved views on the sheet view, each with differing level display settings (ON or OFF) for the references that make up the drawing.
With these all set up correctly in the level Display dialog box, I save the drawing (and the settings, just to be sure!) and close the drawing. However, when I next go back into the drawing, whilst all other edits have been saved correctly, as you'd expect, the level display is completely different, with most references now set to Display OFF and shown grey in the Level Display dialog box. It is easy enough to restore, but a waste of time and a worry if someone else opens the drawing and is unaware of this problem.
Has anybody else seen this issue and, if so, how did you resolve it?
Thanks for your help.
go to the key-in window and type SET REFLEVELOVERRIDES and see what that value is returned. You can read up on REFLEVELOVERRIDES in this Wiki article.
Also, check your saved view attachment settings for the Display Overrides setting. Here's the Wiki article about that.
There could be other factors affecting your drawings, but these are a good place to start.

Thanks for reply, Mary. Unfortunately, these have not solved the issue, but were certainly useful to check.
Cheers,

Robert,
The only thing I can think to check would be the level overrides for the references in the saved views is set to allow or never. Also for saved views I believe there's a synchronize option in the reference settings. We use nested references to control view dsiplay and overrides set to NEVER. This is great for controlling level display in multiple files, but is confusing to people who turn levels off and on in the plan sheet and see those changes disappear next time they open the file.
