PokeIt is a MicroStation VBA application. It's used to select, isolate or hide elements based on their attributes, such as level, color, line style, etc. The filter criterion is populated from a selected, or "poked," element rather than from a list in a dialog box.
PokeIt is also used to create elements similar to a selected element.
There are also a couple of additional “bonus” commands, Invert Selection and Fence Subset.
The interface of PokeIt is the context menu, accessed with a right press and hold on an element..

I just tried it in CONNECT Edition update 14. I tried to Hide blue elements. It did not work on the bylevel elements that were blue. It worked ok on elements that were not bylevel. In fact, it had issues with all the symbology that was bylevel.
Hi Karl, this is as designed. For ByLevel elements, the apparent color is not used. Those who use ByLevel will be best served by using PokeIt to hide and isolate levels rather than colors.
Tim. I also found that the elements set to ByLevel do not hide. As most elements are set to ByLevel, the Hide tools is more confusing than an advantage
Ian, Hide first inverts the selection set and then isolates, so it's a bit of a cheat. Unfortunately, it doesn't work well on large datasets.
Tim understand. but can it be changed to make the HIDE work on ByLevel
I'm surprised that it doesn't already Ian; the algorithm's the same. I'll have to take a look and do some testing.
