I recently updated my Microstation. Is there a way I can have the "Main", the "3D" and the "Snap Mode" palettes to arrange around my screen. I never used this set of ribbons and it is just a series of more clicks than I need for the work I want to do.
Jason for Snaps i use the v8i task theme, but for snaps and anything else you want to dock if you click File > Settings > Tool boxes you can dock any tools you want around the screen.
How do I activate the v8i task theme Grant?

Is there a way to get rid of that thick horizontal ribbon? I'd much rather have the old style menu and the tools as they were in the past, e.g. like the 1st screenshot in https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/b/microstation_blog/posts/new-in-microstation-connect-edition-update-14---access-v8i-task-theme-from-quick-access-toolbar
Upper right corner of the ribbon.

...as shown in the second screenshot on that page (they look the same until you zoom in, QED...), although we are not replicating the old menu structure, things have moved on too far from that. You may be able to add old style menus to the Quick Access Toolbar.
This is a custom menu from V8i:
