I would like to hear from anyone that has updated to CU14.
I am looking to go there but would like to hear some reviews from users that have ventured into it.
Thanks.
Hi Brian,
Some comments here:

Based on my experiences, Update 14 is the first version worth updating for.

Mark

Unless you use tags, then steer clear.
Hi Brian, why this ugly red font? A target to irritate readers? ;-)Moreover, with a clear violation of best practices (Do not ask for assistance via e-mail.).I agree with Mark Shamoun : MicroStation CE U14 is the first version, where a balance between "migration cost / difficulties" and provided benefits is positive for the migration. When I do not engage in time wasting useless "I hate ribbon" discussions, the rest is fine. Still not perfect, because many bugs exist, but U14 is much faster than previous versions (typically still slower than V8i, but sometimes faster), providing good "like V8i" interface and a lot of new features.Recently I had to do something more complicated in V8i and I found out how much I got used to a lot of CE improvements ;-)My experience is that how complicated (and painful potentially) the migration is depends a lot of how MicroStation is used and what data are processed: Some my customers are happy and do not experience any issue, whereas other found issue in every workflow they use. For this reason, it's important to try CE as much as possible and to discuss (here) and to record (using Service Tickets) all found bugs and do not assume "somebody will report is also".It's important to notice that CE U14 also brings (in future) important extension: iTwin Synchronizer. Even iModel Hub based on iModelJS is not mature technology yet, it's what Bentley has actively developed as "next leading technology" and new tools like Design Review is based on it. Not reason for the migration itself, but just to be aware U14 (and more and more future versions) opens door to other Bentley services (plus open-source iModelJS technology).Personally I hope Bentley will keep the momentum and the next version will bring similar balance of optimization (it's what I prefer) and improvements (to have something new) ;-)With regards, Jan

Agree. CEU14 crashes hard with tags.

I remember several tags issues were discussed in the past and received their Defect numbers.
But it's recommended to report (in this forum or using Service Ticket) any found issue, because what is not reported will be not fixed. Plus to know defect number publicly allows to create own Service Ticket to be linked to the defect (which leads to a higher defect priority).
