Im reading that there was a recent Google Earth update that is causing some of the 64 bit Microstations users to experience failures when trying to capture Google Earth terrains, etc. I am now getting these crashes and was wonderinf anybody out there has a solution?
Here is a fairly long thread, and I believe what may be your answer is about 3/4 of the way down.

To save you the long read; I've also found the only thing to work is to uninstall your current Google Earth and install an old 32bit version. There are old installers available here; https://support.google.com/earth/answer/168344?hl=en. Click on "Download a Google Earth Pro installer". In my case, I tried 7.3.3 (32bit), 7.3.1 (32bit) - but only 7.1.8.3036 worked.
I concur, we recently started seeing an error with 7.1.2, "the url http://kh.google.com:80 does not appear to be valid." and the product is unusable. And versions above 7.1.8 are not syncing with Mstn V8i SS10. GEP crashes with these versions when syncing. We will have to see if 7.1.8 will hold up.
Hi Dan,
Please use Google Earth Pro version 7.1.8.3036 (32-bit) which is working fine with MicroStation CE as well as V8i.
