Just installed and set up Powerdraft CE 14-2 German, went pretty straightforward. OS is Windows 10 64 bit. Uninstalled the previous version (CE 10) and re-entered all preferences, no reuse of old files apart from my keyboard shortcuts.
I usually set up my right-hand screen like that (drawing uses the full left-hand screen):
but when I start Powerdraft it looks like this:
I have hit CTRL + F and restarted Powerdraft as well as my computer but to no avail. Comes up as in the 2nd picture.
Any ideas as to what I need to change so PD keeps its window space settings?
Just opened a different drawing and the column widths are always a bit different, never the same:
What causes this behaviour?
As a verification, I have done the following steps based on your settings.
1. On clean German Windows 10 x64 - 1909 - Hyper-V, I downloaded Powerdraft CE 14-2 German and installed.
2. Opened one of delivered example files.
3. Docked the dialog boxes and certain tool boxes as you preferred.
4. Turned on [Preferences > Position Mapping > Use Position Mapping].
5. Exited and restarted with another delivered dgn file. Kept doing this several times. But I always get the same result as image here. Did I miss any steps?
Did you get a chance to reset your preference settings via "C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation PowerDraft CONNECT Edition\PowerDraft\powerdraft.exe" -restoredefaults ?
Thanks for looking into this, Hyung. You followed the exact steps I took apart from the sequence (e. g. tool boxes after turning on position mapping). I started from scratch: I used a new preference file and didn't re-use any old files (as I know that this may cause problems).
However, I found out that if I leave the info box out and only dock tasks and levels it works as desired. As soon as I dock the info box the column width gets distorted after restart.
