Hello everybody!! I am a MicroStation V8 XM user and I would like to know if there is any way to automate, through scripts or something similar, the obtaining of a schedule of coordinates of the vertices of a polygon / polyline.
Any information on this would be very useful, thank you very much in advance

Well XM is so old I dont remember if it has the XYZ export coordiantes tool......
As to automating or scripting would be a bit difficult, the batch processor could be used if you can work out the keyins but you would need to write it to have a separate csv or text file for each file processed...
But I think if the xyz tool works...in XM you could cheat it ..
Create a blank drawing , ref attach a series of drawings with the polygons only then run the xyz tool but make sure you use the label option that identifies each vertex with a prefix and a number like 1, or a1

MicroStation Basic was available in that version, but you may be on your own to learn the specifics.

MicroStation VBA arrived with V8 in 2001, so of course is available in MicroStation XM. MicroStation Basic remains available, but no-one should start a new project using Basic: VBA is a much better choice.

Ah, yes - I was getting my versions mixed up.
Jon is correct. MicroStation VBA is available in XM and is the tool you should use if you want to try your hand at programming.
