When I worked on my drawings yesterday, I went into my Settings>Design File and in the "Active Scale" section I set my Active scale to 1, but it was 0.75. And so I updated it to 1.000 and now I open the same drawing and it says my active scale is 0.50000. What is going on and do I need to put it on 1 and then lock it? Not sure exactly what its pulling it's info from. Please help?
I keyed in AS=1 then hit Save Settings and closed and reopened the file and it stays at 1 now. Still wondering if I am supposed to use the Scale Lock or not?

you shouldn't need to go into the design file settings. just stick to the active scale tool. and save settings.

I'm not sure the other way to go into Active Scale Tool? I don't see it in my Tool Box. SoI only see "Active Scale" through my Design File.Active Scale Dialog.
You can actually set the Active scale in any tool that uses it - like Scale, Place Cell, etc.You can also set it in the Key-in window using the key-in ACTIVE SCALE scale factor
I have that command (abbreviated to AS = 1) mapped to one of my function keys so that I can set it with one click, even in the middle of a command.
