[CE] Dropping numerous variations of a parametric cell at once

Hello everyone,

we are working with several parametric 2D cells in our drawings and we would like to drop all these cells before sending out digital drawings to the clients (either as .dgn or .dwg).

Now we are experiencing strange behaviour when we drop several variations of a parametric cell at once.

I tried to illustrate it in the following screenshots:

  1. I place several variations of the same parametric cell in the file. For example here you see three different sizes of a weld neck flange.

  2. For illustration purposes I copied the three flanges to the right, to have the parametric cells as a comparison.
  3.  Then I drop the cells by drop option "application elements"

  4.  And here are the dropped cells on the right and for comparison the original cells on the left.

I have not changed the position of the cells before dropping. This happens during the dropping process. It somehow seems that MS gets confused with the order.

Does anybody know in which way MS goes through the cells when dropping? For me it feels like it gets confused because all three cells have the same variables, since they are just variations of the cell. Then he just assigns the values to the dropped lines one after the other but does not do it in the right order?

If anybody wants to have a look into the files parametric cell, here it is:

    Parametric Flange.dgn

Additional Info regarding the software: At the moment I only have an OpenPlant Modeler License and am running the Update 7 of OPM. I am not sure which MicroStation Version runs in the background of OPM Update 7, but it should be somewhat like Update 11 I think?

It would also help if anybody could tell me that this issue does not happen in one of the new updates.

Have a nice weekend :)
