I can't find the old dcdrape.pal in Connect. But drape option is still present in the raster manager. So now how do we drape a raster image on a 3D mesh ?
Chris
Hi Chris
I have had a search in the delivered Bentley folders and this file does NOT exist. If you have not done so log a SR.
Obviously you can get it from the old V8i files if needed. if you do not have this let me know and I will post it.
Ian
OK, thank you. I will log a SR.
I am really surprised that nobody pointed this before. I guess this feature is so un-easy to access (assign a 3D object to the dcrape material then tick the good box in the raster manager) that almost nobody is aware of it.
Chris.
DCDRAPE palette is available in the old material library which is in the legacy directory in the shared content:
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\connectsharedcontent\materials\Legacy_Materials
You can either modify the configuration variables to point to it or replace the existing one in the materials directory.
Best regards,
Andrea
Thanks Andrea.
So basically Bentley doesn't want regular users to access this feature. Will it be removed in the next -""Update""- ?

Is that a reasonable conclusion? Search for drape in MicroStation help to find several topics. Drape appears in contexts including image drape and mesh drape.

There may be more possibilities in CONNECT: is this one useful?
