File opening can be very long when you have big references files attached.
Is there a way to bypass the loading of the reference files, or better, delay it ? (a SKIP button in the loading screen could be nice).
I know you can avoid all reference with a command line parameter but that's not what i need. I want the files to be attached but not loaded at startup.
regards,
Chris.
a Skip button for POD file would be nice!
As more and more DGN files are getting heavier and the added issue of DWG files becoming HUGE, this is a major concern, more so in CE where it takes a lot longer to load a DGN file.
As a comparison, within Revit they have an open option where they can select to load (or not) a series of items ie their LINKS. aka references. This is based on their Worksets. So a user can opt to not load a workset, which has their LINKS attached, thus the file opens faster.
So as a way to get Bentley attention, I have added an IDEA, please vote

I agree with Ian - you should add it to the ideas section.
If I were you - I would also file a service ticket asking for this to be added to the functionality of references.
