I am having a issue where i need to cut a mesh object into individual mesh elements, i would usually convert the mesh into a solid and use the cut solid tool, however this makes my machine lock up. i am curious to know if MicroStation has a similar tool for mesh and it does for solids and allow to to cut a large mesh section into individual sections.
The attached picture show the mesh element (in red) i want to make into individual parts along with the yellow cutting planes i have set up at the required intervals.
Any thought would be a great help

Thanks for getting back to me. I am currently using open rail.
Finally found a way now by using the ' Mesh Subtract' tool and having the 'Split mesh' option on along with the 'Use second as trimmer only'.
This method successfully split the mesh object into two sections.
