So I know how to set specific function (F) keys to do what i want and the shortcut keys for AccuDraw, but is there a way to set my "d" key to pull up the dimension tool dialog instead of the "f" key it's assigned to right now?
If you mean the Position Mapping shortcuts, those are not programmable, unfortunately.

See the following blog regarding setting up custom keyboard shortcuts:

It depends on the specific dialog box you want as long as there is a keyin for it the dialog should be able to be mapped to a specific key.
You really have to try to stop making microstation into Autocad they are very different and use their own terminologies... did you look up acad in the help for equivalents..?. enough of that try
Control Shift Left mouse will bring up some more menus inc dims , but I already have task menu which has drawing tasks inc dims
Personally I don't use that key combo .. but I douse right mouse context menu alot this is a real boost as it has all the common like copy move etc
and changes for different element types the left panel was a line the right panel was text see after level off its different and applies to text

Thanks for the info. Yeah I am getting used to MicroStation and have been using it as it was intended without trying to refer to AutoCAD ways and all. You sent a previous message regarding pulling up dimension elements via the right mouse button context menu which is stored in the dgnlib....
Can you show me how to achieve this?
Thanks,
