I am using multiline command to draw concrete encased duct bank, now at one spot it has a 90 degree bend. However my drawing only allows me to make a joint and not a curved fillet style like a arrangement of duct banks would make. How can I turn this joint into a bend?

I believe that multilines can be used only with linear elements. To draw a 'curved' multiline you have to approximate it with a series of linear segments.

As Jon said, Multilines are strictly linear elements. That's the way it's always been.
A lot of multi-line functionality can be reproduced with custom linestyles. Custom linestyles can be applied to any type of element.

There is a tool developed by envisioncad, that can convert any line type to a Multi-Line. It works in V8i and CE.
Basically you place the line, curve etc. Select it and convert it to a mulitline from the multiline DGNLIB.

I typically add this to the interface so there is no need for the keyin.
You will need to contact them to ask for the app

does anyone know why this app was removed from their site and you need to request it ?

I'm the developer of the macro, and all of the EnvisionCAD freeware macros. If you got this tool to work in CE I would be very interested to hear more. I had to make some changes to get it to work in CE, like getting rid of the drop-down list of the multiline styles. The old MDL function I used to query the multiline styles isn't working for me in CE. To get around that the new version for CE just has a text field where you type in the the name of the desired style.
About the freeware macros in general ...
We featured one free macro a month in our newsletters about 7-8 years ago, and made each one available for a limited time. They only worked in the V8i editions of MicroStation.
In the last month or two we've started reintroducing the macros again. This time we have added versions that will work in CONNECT as well as V8i in addition to Toolbox, Task Menu, and Ribbon menus for easy access.
As the macros are re-released they will stay available for download after the month is over, unlike last time. I have about 25-30 macros that will be released over the coming months.
This month's feature is AutoCloud. The Change to Multiline macro will be re-released next month.

The availability of the macros will be announced in our newsletter. There is a newsletter signup area at the bottom of the above web page.
