I am trying to see if and where is the settings for AutoSave and how often and where the files go in order to retrieve these files? I am having NO LUCK and it shouldn't be this hard to find. But for some ungodly horrible day it is not such an easy task to accomplish. I really need your help on this one. TYSM in advance!
Thanks,
Chris

There aren't autosave files - not in the AutoCAD sense. MicroStation saves as it goes along. It doesn't make copies of the files while you are working.
Backup files (created by the BACKUP command) will be stored in the location defined by the configuration variable MS_BACKUP. You can set this variable to a static directory, or you can set the value equal to $(_DGNDIR) which resolves to "the current working directory". But these files are only created when you run the BACKUP command.
I don't think it would be too difficult to come up with a VBA macro that would create create a backup every...however many minutes. It's possible someone has done that already. There USED to be an MDL for that, but that was long ago and far away.

Do those autosaves create files? Where are those files stored?
Or is this just a time delay between saving, instead of continuously saving?
Config. variable MS_DGNAUTOSAVE will just autosave and its value will determine the time interval. There is no file creation happening because of this.
Chris,
Here's a link to a response to a similar question.
In this response Andrew Bell mentions a third-party solution that gives the user the ability to setup automatic backups at user defined time intervals.
