Hi
I often use the yellow line in the picture below. It's our symbology for insulation. But theres often cases where I need to draw that insulation tapered, like the gray line above. Right now I do this by hand but it's time-consuming. Is it possible to achieve that tapered line in a smart way.
The yellow insulation is created with the line style editor but I can't find a way to taper that line.

Robert
I believe that, for elements with a custom linestyle, that in the element properties, you can define a starting width and an ending width. I'm not sure how that would work with your specific linestyle, but you could play around with it and see.

As MaryB suggested, defining the start and end width with different vales would make the line style appear tapered. You might find the following items of interest that help to explain how this can be achieved.

"End: Similar to Origin except that it defines the end width of the dash stroke. If this switch is enabled in conjunction with the Origin switch, the element will be tapered according to the values used."

"If the selected stroke is a dash stroke that is set to display with width, to set the stroke's start and end width, key in the widths, in master units, in the Start and End fields. To taper the stroke, set Start and End to different values. "

Thanks, I'll look into this!
Looks like this only works for dashes. Not for points. Hmm ...
Guess it's not the way to go after all.
