I have text that appears that there is a second text item behind it, but none actually exists. It's not all text items but it happens at several locations. Thoughts?
I suspect that is actually a text node symbol. You can turn those off in your View Attributes.

also can edit the text there will be a return or enter key at the end of the text to turn it into a Text node... Try not to put carriage returns at the end of text entries.. Als make copy increment text work as it wont work with text nodes, and I think you also get problems with find replace with text nodes.. not to sure as I just dont make text nodes on purpose.....

Unfortunately, Text nodes are created in a lot of ways - including the labeling text of certain civil softwares. Editing each single bit of text to somehow eliminate the "node" part of it (which could be there for several different reasons) is time consuming, if not impossible on any kind of deadline. It would also NOT prevent the node symbol from showing through any multi-line texts. It is much simpler to turn off the node symbol in the View Attributes, and it doesn't hurt anything.
