Hi all,
I am trying to use the Raster Manager "Save As" command with an attached Raster (ECW) and no matter what I do, I get an "Error generating" error in both CE Update 13 and 14.
I tried the exact same file in v8i and it works perfectly. Is this now broken in the latest Microstation CONNECT versions?
Regards,
Mark
Hi Mark
Thanks for highlighting your issue. Was this within a DGN or DWG file? Is it possible for you to provide an example so we can try to replicate?

Hi Andrew,
This was in DGN. I will see if i can find a smaller one to send. Its happened for all ECWs so far.
OpenRoads Designer 2023 | Microstation 2023.2 | ProjectWise 2023
Can I get a link to upload - it seems to be larger ecws > 2Gb
You should be able to upload using the following procedure.

The following Defect has been raised to investigate your issue. It appears from the investigation by our development staff that this may be related to the attached raster (ECW).
Defect 1112015: Save As crashes MS for ecw image in RM dialog
Thanks Andrew
Awesome, thanks Chris!
Just had a reply from the developer looking at your defect and they found that there is a workaround to import the attached file on MicroStation. It is to rename the file with western characters present in ASCII and it imports, For example: TestFileRenamed.e57
This has been mentioned in the defect for a fix in a future release, possibly Update 16.
