Hello,
Recently I switched from using V8i to CONNECT.
I used to be able to print a level as subdued a level. My agency had set up a pentable? But now there is no more pentable in CONNECT.
How do I set up a level to print subdue in a pdf. For example, I want the edge to pavment, etc. to be subdued (grey out) on my signing plans?
Thanks!
You can use the same pen tables in CONNECT as you used in V8i. Not much has changed in the pen tables.
In fact much of the printing setup has remained the same, Plot config files (.pltcfg), Print Styles, Design Scripts, and Pen Tables. These can all be transferred from V8i to CONNECT with little to no editing if your design file setup remains the same.
I would check with whomever set up your CONNECT configuration to make sure these resources are part of the set up.

Thanks! Is there a way to opened a pen table from a drop down menue. That's how I did it before in the pen table.
In the Print dialog there are two places.
haha I just noticed everything is the same. Kept assuming its different for CONNECT.
So we used to have our own color tables now we are using everything out of the box.
That would mess up the pen table, but that a different story. thanks agian!
you can still use your own old custom colour table you just have to set it up like you first did for pre Connect.. just that it was probably was done for you by persons no longer at your work.... but that's not a problem just find your old v8 seed files and colour tables and copy them into the right place in CE...

Thanks Lorys. Didn't think of that....
If I need a specific RGB color value on output I always define the color that way in the pen table and don't rely on the color table index. I've had too many occasions where users change the color table and then complain their prints don't look right.
That makes sense to edit the pen table. Can you direct me to a link on a "how to" if its readily available. if not I can google it. Thanks!
In the pen table editor select the Element Section, then click the Element Output Sections tab.
In the Color drop-down select By RGB, then click on the Color... button to change the color value.
