I have some couple of question below regarding the custom linestyle in microstation connect.
I created a custom linestyle to be 1m dashed and 1m gap. I used points to create the dashed segment so that the length is always fixed. However, when

RE: Custom Line style

ok I found a line that's close at scale 1 by default its 100 wide fill, 600 long and 600 gaps but if you use 1 divided by 0.6 as a LT scale over ride and put on specific level it draws as 167 wide, 1000 , 1000 and works with arcs and corners etc.. its name is turn line broken, but you can rename it.. I used the linestyle to draw it in empty file then used the

Element>Linestyle >edit>export to dgn

you can then do the same with export/import to rsc and add it to rsc folder... you should be able to rename it there... but again you have to scale it to use it or maybe add it to a dgn lib already scaled and if you use it leave level preset…that's my personal preference

However, what I want is for each segment to show only the exact length (which is 1m) and hide those less than 1m. Also, the line still appears hollow even though I set the "fill" in view attributes.

RE: Custom Line style

It sounds as if you created a "dash" point component instead of an actual dash.

You can create your dash to a known size, and you can assign it a width so that it will be filled in.

The setting you want for the corners is "Break". This "bends" the linestyle around corners

RE: Custom Line style

communities.bentley.com/.../Jenel.rsc
