Is it possible to run a batch process of some kind on multiple files? I was hoping to use this as a model register by add Item Types to each design file and exporting out the excel. I've seen in previous posts a mention of using the key-in reports export , but I have not had any luck with this yet.
Thanks

That tells us that you're using MicroStation CONNECT, but which version?

MicroStation Help tells us that key-in REPORTS EXPORT [ CATEGORY NAME\DEFINITION NAME ] is available.
REPORTS EXPORT [ CATEGORY NAME\DEFINITION NAME ]

What exactly have you tried? Have you defined a Report? MicroStation doesn't have a Luck preference.

Have you considered referencing all required models into a single file, and running the report you require on all references?
This would be useful, though it appears you only have the options to Include Reference Attachments when the Location Type is set to Model and not File.
A small hurdle, just means you would have to open the 'container' file/model to run report, rather than having option of running externally, though in each case you will have to have a file open to be able to access the report anyway.
what exactly are you wanting to report on? You could write an app that could open files and add item types and populate them and then report to an external spreadsheet.
