&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Please follow&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="/products/microstation/f/microstation-forum/87312/read-first-microstation-forum-best-practices"&gt;forum best practices&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;and tell us which version&amp;nbsp;of v8i are you using in the form of [ 08.xx.xx.xx ].&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can find out the angle of the line if you select it and by going to the Properties \ Geometry \ Direction using { CRTL + TAB [ key combination.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;img alt=" " src="/resized-image/__size/320x240/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/273/8637.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Then you copy the value and select your text and on the same Properties [ Geometry \ Angle ] paste your angle (probably there should be &lt;span&gt;consistency&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;here).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you know the value of the angle prior of placing your text you can write the value under &lt;strong&gt;Active&amp;nbsp;Angle&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
