I have a drawing created in v8i, a jpg attached as raster. but when i open the dgn in Connect edition, the raster wont display. I can see it in raster manager. if i pick it, i can see four corner handles. any reason why? I did change the raster mode to standard, and clean up all temp files. it won't help.
Is it large? Try simply turning any level off (sounds dumb). I use a lot of very large rasters and sometimes they won't display regularly. And if I compress the file they disappear until I close and open again. One additional test is to print and see if it's there.

The image is fairly small, only 147KB. I tried compress and print, not working.
Yea that's small. I can't think of anything except the usual silly stuff. Transparency of the raster or the level it's on, Display Style, things of that sort. Does it recognize it for move/copy/scale type operation?
I figured it out. Have to key-in " raster display on", then raster shows up. something so simple....
doesnt it have tick box at the bottom like v8i view 1,2,3,4 etc to turn on and off?
how could we set that as a config thing to run raster display... at startup ... we can't be expected to remember to turn it on!
If you dont know its even there... if you can't see it why would you look in the raster manager especially if you didn't build the drawings but get the job of updating things and prints to pdfs etc which is the more often than not senario in engineering firms now days juniors do the updates or whoever is available and has little or no history with the data..
Come on Bentley we need a better fix than this especially now were upto CE 14 or 15!
