Project Explorer Configuration Variable link works in V8i not in CE

The image in the previous message is from project explorer. The configuration variable link contains an environment variable, for example: _OSTO_TALUE_2DLAI, which looks for dgn files whose names begin with the letters e_. This works well on the V8i, but not the CE.

Which Product and Version are you running?

In MicroStation CONNECT Update 15 I was able to populate the Explorer dialog using the same custom variable (set at Workset Level) by picking it from the list of available variables, although looking at the Link Properties dialog your displaying the Configuration Variable '_OSTO-TALUE_2DLAI' comparing this with mine its showing as '$(_OSTO-TALUE_2DLAI)'

If you edit your Link Properties to '$(_OSTO-TALUE_2DLAI)' does this the resolve your files as expected ?

Did you manually enter the variable name or pick from the list or use a different workflow, perhaps migrating existing data from V8i ?
