 I have just recently updated my version of Microstation to select series 10. It installed successfully, but I couldn’t open it. 
 So, I have uninstalled and re-installed it several times. I went through something just like this, and IT figured out that was the problem - a couple of registry keys that were left over. &lt;p&gt;Initially I installed it over the top of a previous installation i.e. 08.11.09.829. Since then I have uninstalled Microstation and re-installed 2/3 times.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I have tried both opening Microstation via the icon in the start menu and by double clicking on a file within windows explorer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I managed to create a dump file of Microstation in task manager, but I had to be very quick as the icon soon disappeared once I tried to open Microstation. I also have an installation log. Can I upload them on to Bentley communities for you to look at? If so where? many thanks&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li style="padding-left:30px;"&gt;When you open MicroStation are you double clicking on a design file from Windows Explorer or clicking on the software icon from the desktop or program group?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It would be helpful if you could provide the installation logs for investigation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Stop the CC (task manager) you may need to do an &amp;quot;end processing tree&amp;quot; on the license service.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Go to c:\users\_yourusername_\appdata\local\bentley\ and look for two *.db files&lt;/p&gt;
