I was given a microstation challenge and I'm stumped. Given a 3D view of arbitrary rotation, how do I rotate that view around global Z axis for certain degree? Special case would be starting at 1 isometric view, a 90 degree rotation around global Z axis would produce the other isometric views.
Best regards,
Tuan Le
Hi,
I might have missed something but if you start the view command Rotate View with method Dynamic and set the AccuDraw origin before starting rotate you can rotate the view around the Z-axiz.

I believe Tuan wanted to rotate the view along the Z axis with a certain degree:

With your solution you can use Accudraw to type the angle on the proper field, but visually isn't quite helpful I believe as the model jumps from positive and negative angle accordingly to your cursor position.

You can enter the angel in AccuDraw. The cursor will snap to the angle.

Any ideas how to solve my challenge in the link?
I'm just trying out different things and this one LOOKS right if the purpose is to get one of the side aligned with the view and Z up.
Start Rotate View - By 3 Points
Identify lower left
Identify lower right
Keyin: dx=#,10,#
yes seems something like that but still a more straight forward tool would be needed.
