[CONNECT Update 15] PGP file

When I open a particular file, I see the message A PGP File is Loaded! (Why is MicroStation surprised — what's that exclamation mark for?)

PGP

It's discussed in MicroStation help.  Help says that it slows the loading of a DGN file.  What help doesn't tell me is how to stop loading the PGP file — I don't use AutoCAD and don't need those AutoCAD abbreviated key-ins.

I'd be thrilled if anyone could tell me why that message has started to appear.

  • This is a result in a change in behaviour from previous versions, now In Update 15 a PGP file is provided with the installation of MicroStation and pointed to via the MS_DWG_PGPFILE variable located within the mstrans.cfg file.

(In previous versions the PGP file would be available if the user had ACAD installed or the PGP file was provided & configured)

Whilst this message can be ignored, If not using AutoCAD abbreviated key-ins defined in the PGP file, an administrator can unset the value of the MS_DWG_PGPFILE variable. For example by setting MS_DWG_PGPFILE=Undefined at Organizational level.
